Dr. William Follansbee is the Master Clinician Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and is the Director of the UPMC Clinical Center for Medical Decision Making. Over the course of many years, he developed and iteratively refined the cognitive bedside diagnostic decision making tool based upon experience with real world cases as well as input from a host of colleagues, to whom he is indebted. The tool is intended for use across the range of clinical experience, from early trainees to experienced clinicians.
